Hey, I’m Jeni! New to the Gulf Coast, I moved here after living over in Cajun Country for 11 years although I am originally from Northeast Arkansas (It’s cold & it SNOWS up there, y’all!) I first fell in love with Broadcasting while on a field trip to a television station in the 6th grade. After graduating from high school, I attended college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio/Television. Out of college, I began my career in television as a news producer for a couple of years before a radio station ran across an old tape I had submitted while in school and contacted me to come work with them ~ “just on the weekends, it’ll be fun!” It wasn’t long before I left the doom & gloom of the news for the unpredictable spontaneity that is Radio. Along the way, I have had some exhilarating life experiences. From my near-miss with the bombing while working at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . . . to hand-feeding the largest alligator in captivity in the state of Texas . . . to attending the Grammys a few years ago. An enthusiasm for life is what keeps me constantly motivated. I enjoy spending my spare time with my 4-legged kids ~ Matilda (130lb Rottweiler), Maddie (10lb Maltese), & Lola (6lb koo-koo Yorkie!) I am a foodie – I LOVE to cook! I love to travel – I’m a professional at ‘glamping’, and I’m the outdoorsy-type – I start my day with a sunrise run on the beach! I am excited to spend mornings with you 10a-3p, Monday-Friday. Thanks for listening to NASH FM 102.7!
